My submission for Magazine Monday launched a few weeks ago by Ivonne of Cream Puffs in Venice is a recipe for Honey, Anise and Almond Biscotti from the March 2000 edition of Bon Appetit Magazine. This magazine was neatly filed away and I only came across this recipe a couple of years ago. They are sooo good that my niece Lauren asked me to bake them for her wedding last year.
This recipe has been added to my Biscotti repertoire for Christmas and will be one of the first recipes I make during my ‘biscotti marathon’ in December. By mistake , once I used fennel seeds instead of anise seeds which gave the biscotti a ‘taralli flavour’ and still tasted delicious.
Dunk these in espresso coffee or vin santo and you’re in biscotti heaven.
