My family regards bananas as, well, just fruit. A plain banana bread for them is just that – a plain banana bread. A banana bread with chocolate will result in comments like, “Mom, this banana bread is really good!”. But a banana bread with Nutella and maple syrup – ‘Mom, this banana bread rocks!’ There’s something to be said about the combination of bananas, maple syrup and Nutella.
I have already made this banana bread as a loaf, as muffins, and now as mini cakes. They are easy to pack up for lunches – if there are any left.
