This week, Ashlee of A Year In The Kitchen chose the Black and White Banana Loaf recipe on page 232 of ‘Baking: From my Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan.
After making fruit cobblers and galettes, I welcomed making this banana loaf, with chocolate yet! The combination of bananas and chocolate is a family favourite. My loaf pan was a tad larger than the one called for in the recipe so the loaf size turned out slightly different. This recipe was simple to follow and to assemble. The result was a moist cake combining bananas and chocolate with a hint of nutmeg, making it worthwhile to clean up all those bowls! Everyone scatters when it’s clean up time but somehow all appear when they hear the oven timer ring. I made the loaf this morning and there is less than a half of the loaf left.
Thanks Ashlee for choosing this delicious loaf. You can find the recipe for the Black and White Banana Loaf on page page 232 of ‘Baking: From my Home to Yours’ or at A Year In The Kitchen. Visit the TWD Bakers at Tuesdays with Dorie to see their take on the Black and White Banana Loaf.
